Today I sent off my passport to the Chinese embassy in CA. I have been trying to calm Rory down all week because he has been so stressed about his passport… but now I know why. That little book is my life. I need that book to come, to go, to move. And I willingly put it in a cardboard envelope and ship it to an unknown address with unknown people handling it. Please God, send your top angels to look after all of our passports. I am sure they will be fine though. I hope and pray :)

Today at 7:30am, Rory woke me up to Starbucks coffee and breakfast all served whilst wearing his
absolute favoriteT-shirt, “don’t cha wish your girlfriend was hot like mine.” I am so blessed to have the life I have. And to add to that, I just completed my parents USA visa application forms! Now when Rory goes to stay with them in late August, all 3 of them can go get their visas done together. So thankful for everything that I have in this life. Did I mention that I am less than a month away from leaving for China? My life rocks, and I am so grateful for that! -

I am at work and the boys are shopping for throws… this is technology helping us all come to a decision on throws. Damon looks delighted!

Memorial Day weekend = moving day weekend for the last 3 years. Nothing has changed this year. Except the ideas on how to make furniture travel faster! The guys moving into our old house put a skateboard under the sofa and pushed it up the hill! Then, we sold a hot tub on Craigslist for $50 to a not so rich man who wanted to surprise his wife. It took 4 boys to put that on the back of the truck - it should have taken 10. We have donated three car loads to Goodwill now and we’re looking at a fourth. All in a long weekend’s work. Minus Damon. Who of course is drinking beer with “chicks in bikinis”. Eish. Tough life. It will be though when he has to move all the stuff into the new place next weekend without Rory and me. Rory will be at a swim meet and I have weekend class :) We’ll wait for his weekend to be over with before we drop this bomb on him!

Last week, the Bucks and I went to Sandpoint to celebrate the recent graduates. It was a great time just to relax and get away. Sleeping in was definitely a highlight, as well as Ali making me tea and cinnamon and raisin toast. Amazing what a difference a holiday can make. This week will be busy with school starting up again and continuing to pack up the house. The new place is absolutely divine. I will try to post photos of it soon. It is a brand new apartment just for the three of us. No more hiding of food or debt collecting :)
